About Kealan Delaney
Kealan Delaney is the Founder and CEO of Delmec, a global telecommunications company that helps the world’s biggest operators and providers build, upgrade, and repair their infrastructure and networks. Delmec has been providing telecommunications services and solutions for over 30 years, and during his tenure, Kealan has grown the company from a small operation to a business with hundreds of employees, working across all seven continents. Kealan has aggressively grown the Delmec brand, as well as its capabilities, earning the trust of an impressive client roster that includes Vodafone, O2/Telefonica, Hutchison Whampoa, Helios Towers Africa, Vodacom, Edotco, Eaton Towers, American Towers, SBA, Orange, and other telecommunications giants.
Kealan Delaney has also pioneered Delmec’s global expansion. The company now has operations that span the world from Europe to Malaysia to the Congo. Kealan has spearheaded projects throughout Europe and America, but is especially well-known for his extensive work in bringing cutting-edge telecommunications capabilities to developing countries throughout Africa, Asia, and South America. Delmec’s work in these countries prompted it to open permanent offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo; Accra, Ghana; and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Now, Delmec has secured its position as a market leader, working in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Prior to founding Delmec, Kealan Delaney worked as a Project Engineer at the building materials company, CRH Roadstone. In this role, Kealan was responsible for overseeing the construction of the company’s new facilities and factories. After a few years, he assumed the role of Location Manager at CRH’s Limerick-based plant, where he was responsible for daily operations, market development and sales, the development and execution of strict worker safety standards, as well as all HR and personnel-related matters.
Born and raised in Carlow, Ireland, Kealan Delaney earned a Higher Diploma and Higher level Degree in Engineering with first class honours from the Dublin Institute of Education and the University of Dublin. Later, he completed an MBA from the University of Limerick. In 2010, Kealan began pursuing a post-graduate program at the Telecoms & Tech Academy. He is also an alumni of Harvard Business School, where he completed the prestigious and internationally recognized OPM course in 2012. The three-year course is designed for owners, presidents, and managers of businesses, and provides leaders with new confidence, an expanded entrepreneurial toolkit, and new leadership insights to drive immediate and long-term success. The program is Kealan’s most proud educational accomplishment to date.
Kealan Delaney is a member of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO) and Telecoms Infrastructure Ireland (TII). He is a former inter-county hurler, but his current hobbies largely include traveling, real estate investment, and spending time with his beautiful family. He lives in Ireland with his wife, Laura, and three children.
